Fenugreek is a kitchen herb that has antioxidant, anti-diabetic and anti-inflammatory properties. These are five simple Ayurvedic tips using fenugreek.
Enhancing breast milk
Add 3 grams of fenugreek seeds when preparing your tea.
Reducing menstruation pain
Add 5 grams of fenugreek seeds into a cup of tea. Consume three times a day for the first 3 days of the period for two consecutive cycles.
Reducing blood glucose level
Soak one teaspoon of fenugreek seeds overnight using a half cup of water. The following morning consume the water along with the seeds.
Hair care
Make a paste from fresh fenugreek seeds or leaves. Apply the paste over the scalp and leave it for 30 minutes. Afterwards wash your scalp with lukewarm water. This method has proven to act as hair conditioner, hair strengthener and in reducing dandruff.
Treating fever
Put 2 teaspoons of of fenugreek seeds with half teaspoon of lemon juice and half teaspoon of honey into a cup of tea.
