From September 1 2016, guests can experience one of the world’s oldest holistic healing systems, in a brand new Ayurveda resort near Ubud.
Based on an authentic Indian system, ONEWORLD ayurveda uses the Panchakarma healing experience to offer guests a tailor-made program for detoxing and purification.
The name Panchakarma, or ‘PK’, means ‘five therapies’, namely Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya and Rakta Mokshana. After an initial doctor’s consultation, these therapies are used in guests’ personalised treatment program, geared towards restoring balance and well-being.
ON the border of a small Balinese village near Ubud, the 12 room retreat is surrounded by bamboo forest, tropical gardens and permaculture herbal gardens. It also offers daily food preparation classes and a yoga and meditation shala overlooking rice terraces as well as a state of the art Ayurvedic healing treatment centre.
The team of experts at ONEWORLD ayurveda is headed by Dr. Aparna K. BAMS, MD, PhD (Ayurveda), one of the few specialists in the world with a PhD degree in Ayurveda. The all inclusive Panchakarma package is available for 10, 14, 21 and 28 days.
‘The benefits are remarkable. Doing a PK is offering the self me-time at a deeper level. It is a gift that our body, mind and soul deserve once in awhile and allows rejuvenation,” said Claude Chouinard, founder of the project.
